This species profile, written for the New England Primate Conservancy, is all about a fascinating primate from the Gulf of Guinea. I discuss the characteristics of the species and their habitats as well as their status (vulnerable) and the conservation efforts that affect their long-term outlook.

I wrote this article for the National Ocean Service exploring the ways the agency was supporting offshore wind projects in the United States. Because NOS's mandate is both to safeguard ocean resources and encourage trade, I tried to strike a balance between addressing economic factors and the agency's efforts to protect marine life and understand the impacts of offshore wind projects on ocean ecosystems.

I wrote a pair of articles breaking down the facts about latitude and longitude as part of a series of 'Ocean Facts' on the National Ocean Service website. These are very technical topics, so the challenge here was to explain them in language suited to the average reader. I also wanted to tie the concepts into work that NOS does to further Earth science and ocean science.

I wrote this article for the National Ocean Service website to explain three large changes in geodesy—the study of gravity. We used a Q&A format for the article because it was such a complex, technical topic. By breaking the material down into small chunks, it's easier to keep the reader's attention when dealing with lots of acronyms and jargon.
